AN OVERNIGHT SNOWFALL AND FREEZING RAIN TAKE HOLD OF THIS PRAIRIE LANDSCAPE

After an overnight snowfall and freezing rain grip this prairie landscape scene, the South Fork Kishwaukee River begins to freeze from the edges inward. Box elder trees along the river, an oak, other trees and bushes in the area are engulfed in crystals from the freezing rain at Wildflower Park. (536-40)
