THE POWER AND STRENGTH OF A RED-TAILED HAWK

A windy and rainy day didn't keep me from going out. I had walked up to this wild red-tailed hawk within arms length away after crossing a pedestrian bridge. I was completely oblivious to it because I was looking to my left while crossing the bridge over the river. When she burst off the perch is when I had seen her out of the corner of my eyes. Being so close to her I felt the power and strength of her wings. I was a little surprised and startled by her. She had landed just a few feet on the other side of the bridge where I had just come from. She stayed for a few minutes while I was able to get some close up photographs.  (388-689)
