WAITING FOR THE SUNSET

As I was waiting for the colors of the sunset to appear on this cold winter February evening , this scene at the lake with the sun shining behind the clouds along with dock in the foreground, became my focus as I thought it was a beautiful and scenic moment with very good lighting. After taking a few shots of the dock, I waited around hoping for a dramatic sunset which never materialized. I was pleased at how this scene unfolded in front of me and made up for not having a better sunset. Sometimes things don't come out the way you had hoped but, if you stay with it, adjust your thinking and with some luck and perseverance, you just might be ok in the end. (478-203)
